Experienced Telecommunications and IT Executive Takes the Helm at IntelliSyn
Ottawa, Ontario - February 14, 2010: IntelliSyn, a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that offers reliable and innovative managed IT infrastructure services, announced a senior executive appointment today that positions the company for a new phase of development and growth.
Effective immediately, Gilles Desmarais, a senior executive with more than 28 years of experience in the areas of network integration and planning, Internet services, IT infrastructure, IT applications and telecommunications networking joins the IntelliSyn team as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Desmarais joins IntelliSyn after six successful years as President and Chief Operating Officer of RAMTelecom Inc., which was sold to OmniGlobe Networks Inc. in June 2009. He managed the transition of RAMTelecom to OmniGlobe and subsequently served as the company's Vice-president of Sales & Marketing for North America before moving to IntelliSyn.
Prior to RAMTelecom and OmniGlobe, Mr. Desmarais held progressively senior executive positions with a number of Canadian corporations, including Information Dimensions Canada Ltd. from 1991 to 1995, iStar Internet Inc. from 1995 to 1998, Ericsson Canada in the Ericsson Professional Services division from 1998 to 2001, and Sixdion Inc. from 2001 to 2003.
